'Only Murders in the Building' Shoots Its Mob Storyline at the 'Godfather' House
OMITB's new Season 5 trailer reveals scenes shot at Staten Island's infamous Corleone compound
Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building promises mob ties—and the show went all out to portray it onscreen. The show filmed scenes at the property known to movie fans as Vito Corleone’s house in The Godfather.
The trailer for the Hulu series’ upcoming season reveals that the new batch of episodes centers on the death of Arconia doorman Lester (Teddy Coluca), who is found dead in the building’s courtyard fountain following a run-in with mobster Nicky Caccimelio (Bobby Cannavale), the “Dry Cleaning King of Brooklyn.” Playing on the Mafia theme, Oliver Putnam (Martin Short) and Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin) are even shown trading Brando Godfather impressions in the trailer.
But it’s in a quick shot after that moment where the show’s real Godfather cred is revealed, as the two characters are seen entering the famous Godfather house alongside Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez).
“We need to go face-to-face with the mob,” Martin is heard saying as the gang treks to Staten Island for a sit-down with brothers from the Caccimelio family. Supposedly set in Long Beach, the Corleone property seen onscreen in The Godfather is actually located in the Todt Hill neighborhood of Staten Island.
Three houses at the end of Longfellow Avenue comprised the Corleone compound for the film, enclosed with an 8-foot-high faux stone wall to make the properties look like one. The main house—Vito Corleone’s, and the one now seen in Only Murders—is located at 110 Longfellow Ave.

The NY Post reported in March that the Only Murders trio had been spotted filming near the home, but today’s trailer drop confirms that the producers managed to secure the exact home—and hints at just how involved the shoot was.
It appears Only Murders shot inside the home as well, as the set for the Caccimelio meeting matches up to recent interior photos of the Staten Island home.

110 Longfellow Avenue last hit the market in 2019 with an asking price of $1.37 million. In 2022, it was temporarily put up for short-term rental on Airbnb, costing $50 per night for a stay of 30 nights.
It’s unclear what the production paid to secure the property, but it’s possible one of the show’s characters could be paying with their life.
